Every couple goes through ups and downs. Sometimes couples need help managing their changing relationships.

In the international community, relationship problems can be intensified by the stress of moving, cultural differences, changes in resources, as well as going through other life transitions, such as becoming parents or making a commitment.

Couples’ therapy is helpful as either a preventative measure (before moving in, getting married or having children for example) or in response to a crisis (such as threat of separation, increased conflict, or feeling stuck). My work often follows these common themes:

  • Learning better communication techniques
  • Practicing and improving conflict management
